Not sure what to say?

A wonderful member of my church has passed away. Mrs. Martha Spivey was a lovely caring person and she always took time to come talk to me and ask me how I was doing. She was one of my biggest cheerleaders throughout the process of me earning my Gold Award for Girl Scouts. Every time she saw me she asked if I had earned it yet. More than that, she loved God, her family, and her church. I will miss her smiles and her hugs. I will miss her every day, but especially Sundays at the Lakes Cafe...

Bob, our lives have been enriched by knowing you and Martha. Martha was always a caring and supportive person. She sure portrayed Christ to others! I have personally been touched by those little things that mattered so much to her. She will be missed!

Dear Bob,
I was sorry to learn that Martha had passed away. Please accept my condolences to you and your family on your great loss.
I enjoyed visiting with Martha at Phi Beta Kappa functions over the years. She was lovely.

Dear Dr. Spivey,
Mrs. Spivey was a lovely lady. I always enjoyed it when I was fortunate enough to spend a little time with her and know you will miss her so much. My love and prayers for you and yours at this tough time!

Dear Dr. Spivey and family, I send my deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Martha. She was always so kind and gracious to me when I attended R-MWC and visited your welcoming home. She embodied the commandment to "love thy neighbor" and was one of the finest examples of this during my college years. Together, she and Dr. Spivey were a great team and role models for so many of us. May God be with her and all of you. Fondly, Susan Nowlin Schaller, formerly of Lynchburg, VA ...

Dear Dr. Spivey, my most heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Martha. I will always be grateful for her kindness and grace. It meant so much to me in my time at Randolph-Macon. Valerie Sands Weeks, Class of 1983
