If you are reading this, I have joined my beloved bride and ancestors in the realm of the imperishable. I was a 1950 model native Santa Fean; Marian Hall was then the hospital. Back when I grew up, it was a time when (almost) everyone was friendly, our varied cultures intermingled and blended...

Not sure what to say?

My condolences to his family. Good memories of Marty from my fire department days.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Marty, Cheers - 100%. What a wonderful gift you leave us with - your beautifully nostalgic goodbye letter! Respectfully, I personally did not know you, however I too am a native son, but long since removed. Interestingly, we share many of the same experiences and sentiments about growing up in old SF. I tip my hat to you sir - for a life well lived and thank you for your legacy of goodness. Yes, it has been quite a ride. Sending heartfelt condolences to your family and friends.

Thinking of you and your family at this time.

Dear Marty, reading your obituary brought back so many memories from my childhood and growing up in Tesuque (especially the Mommy and Daddy seatbelts!) I remember riding high atop the stock racks of my Dad's 1965 Ford truck. We were so free back then to live a life filled with joy and the freedom to live as (I believe) God intended. Our community was home to a diverse population. We went to school with hispanics, natives, a few black families and white people which were the minority back...

What a beautiful message this man sent our community before passing on. I don't know him nor his family but was touched by his way of expressing his love on earth. You all must be a wonderful family. I wish you all peace, my condolences to everyone.

Marty and your family. I have wonderful memories of you and your family. First knowing the Taicherts Five &Dime Store owned and operated by your family. I had the pleasure of working with your Mom as an X Ray Tech. At the old St Vincent Hospital. And had the pleasure of accompanying you for the Fire Inspection for the newly built Buffalo Thunder. You were truly the most knowledgeable fire inspector that Insurance Companies used. Rest In Peace my friend

Sir Mr. Martin I did not have the pleasure of ur beautiful light but ur words r absolutely PRICELESS!! May the hand of JESUS guide u on ur way 2 our LORD GOD!! May ur legacy here on earth radiate thru many!!

Rest in Peace Martin. I did not know you or your family. But I love the idea of writing your own obituary. I think I may take a page out of your book and write my own (that way I know only good stuff will be said). My thoughts and prayers are with your family and I pray God comforts them during their time of grief.
