Marty was a powerhouse and a champion any field of endeavor he entered. Marty was the man who gave me my first opportunity in the broadcast business way back in 1965 when he hired and tested and unproven 32 year-old Jim Coppersmith to be a sales trainee at WTTG in Washington DC. I can say without fear of contradiction that I learned more from him than anyone else in the industry. He was a very special; memorable person who was a natural born leader. Charismatic; and a real professional. A unique manager who always demanded the best from his people which made them smarter and more creative. Sorry that I lost touch and my condolences to Priscilla!

I knew Marty because a friend of mine, Grayce, worked for him in NY. We had the pleasure of the company of Marty and his wife Priscilla on a few occasions in the late 60's and early 70's. Sympathies to Priscilla.
