We loved Marty Detmer! Who didn't? Such a force of kindness, compassion and love. He was a funny, fun, smart man who loved his family, especially his wife, with complete gusto. We will miss him, but we will never forget him. Love and hugs and cheers for a special soul.xoxo The Malloy Family

JanAnn and Family,

Joanne joins me in sending our best wishes and condolences. Even though we have not been in contact for over 34 years I have always considered Marty as one of my closest friends during my 29 years at the Container Division. He always had a smile and he made working with him a pleasure. Marty will certainly be in our prayers.

So sorry to hear of Marty's passing. He was a foundational example in my early business life and has carved a permanent place in my heart. So thoughtful, respectful and funny. Loved his self deprecating humor. I look forward to seeing Marty in the next life. My deepest sympathies for his wonderful family and the many many friends this man attracted over his life.

To the members of the Detmer family: I remember so very well when Marty was dating my good friend Jan-Ann. They were wonderful times that they had together in the early 1950's. I send my most thoughtful prayers, condolences and love to you all. May all your wonderful memories of the times you spent together help you through these difficult times. Blessings, Alice Pirie Wirtz (Ittie)
