Not sure what to say?

Marty, you are missed by many, may you rest in peace.

To the Gaughan Family,
we are so sorry for the loss of your dad. Marty and Mary Kay found each other right before Jim and my wedding so we both entered into the Walker family at the same time. We hit it off right away because, after all, we were both Irish entering into a very Italian family. Marty has made Mary Kay very happy; I'll never forget the glow on his face when he announced their engagement. I always respected your dad for also honoring your mom's memory. I feel as if I...

To Mary Kay and the Gaughan Family,we extend out deepest sympathy for the loss of their dear witty, charismatic Marty. We are sure he is entertaining his Irish Angels with "Danny Boy" We will all miss him.

Family of Marty Gaughan,
Sincere sympathy on the loss of a great man. John having been a close friend of mine in our youth I feel your sorrow. Mary Kay, you have been a Godsend to Marty and we have enjoyed seeing you together. Sorry we could not be with you at St. Gertys for the Mass, but look forward to seeing all of you when we return to the midwest. All are welcome to our home in Lake Geneva, we're in the phone book.

Much Love,
Dan and Nancy Corboy

Marty was not only a nice guy but also one of the better referees. We will always remember him in our prayers.

To Michael, Grace, Nora, Mary Kay and the entire Gaughan family we send our sympathy. In reading through so many wonderful memories and tributes, I only wish we could have really known your Dad. What a wonderful man, who so valued his family, friends, community and heritage. You are all most certainly better people for having him in your lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The Wrenn-Metzig Family

To Mary Kay, my Dad, Aunt Rosemary, my cousins, and Marty's Grandchildren,
What a loss. We are all better because we knew and loved Uncle Marty. The good Lord didn't make them any better. As young kids, we loved our trips to Chicago to see Uncle Marty, Aunt Kay, and their family.

When I was about to marry into the Gaughan clan, I remember my first meeting of Marty, Kay, and the kids at their house in the old neighborhood. We were soon at the piano in the basement where I...

My sincere condolances to Mary Kay.

Marty and I were teammates for many a softball and basketball game. We also felt we were long lost cousins, with both of us sharing O'Malley heritage from Louisburg, Co. Mayo, Ireland. He was one of a kind.
