Not sure what to say?

Dear, dear Lois,
Looked for you and Marty this afternoon at Jack Potts' memorial service, but didn't see you. After returning home, Marilyn got on the internet, and discovered Marty was translated into the arms of Jesus July 5th and his memorial service was held at Mt Park Church.
We are so sorry, we didn't know about either and missed his Celebration of Resurrection!
Both you and Marty made a significant investment in my life, especially during my teen years. It...

Bateman is really Hageman!!

Marty was my mentor. I respected him in every way. He had lofty ideals and he stood by them. He once told me that lost causes were the only causes worth fighting for. Even though I lost track of Marty for the last few years I have every confidence that he believed that to the very end.
We have lost a true gentleman of a long gone era and I have lost the most important figure to guide me in my own teaching career.
May Jesus greet you Marty. Put a word in for me if you can.

Dear Walt Family,
The service today was an astounding and a tribute to the man, who could melt ice with his smile,
Bobby Hennessy

Marty was a great friend of Young Life and a true representative of the Christian life. I remember his love of flowers and his home in later years. Much love to Lois and family in the years ahead.

Mr Walt was my teacher. I have often thought of him through the years.what a wonderful teacher he will always be remembered in thought and prayer.

I will never forget Mr. Walt. He was tough, but only because he knew how much potential we had. Rest In Peace, sir.

Dear Lois and Family ~
God made Marty so unique: loving, warm, funny, entertaining, and full of knowledge. He was adored by many. My special memories of him focus on the time Kent and Linda were in Nairobi and we met monthly to pray at the North's home. I'm so glad that he loved Jesus and showed us how how to do that, too. He made such a difference in Young Life for so many, many kids!
Rejoicing for him and praying for your peace and comfort!

So many fond memories of Mr. Walt. He was a great teacher and an inspiration to so many.
