I've been retired for nine years and just heard about Marty passing. I was the sports editor at the News of Delaware Country for 37 years, and Marty made writing stories about him just flow onto the page because he was such a colorful character and had enough boxing wisdom to fill three Madison Square Gardens. Damon, Dave and family we are so sorry to hear about your dads passing. He was a great guy and will be sadly missed!! Always remember seeing him with a smile and driving through our street.
