Sister Mary Lou was a child of God; her faith showed through her actions. She will be deeply missed at Emmaus, where she was greatly loved. She touched my heart with her love for Christ. May she rest in peace and may God bless her soul and her family always.

My prayers and sympathy are with the Barba family and the MCDP sisters. Mary Lou was a wonderful coworker and friend... our time together in Austin was hard word and great fun! I am grateful for her life and for welcoming me to Texas, to her family and her very special MCDP sisters. Her spirit lives with all of us!

An angel has left this earth and each of us has been blessed when she was part of our lives on this earth. Mi Tiera will have to deal with her void. I was fortunate to have been a part of the Barba family while serving in the USAF and saw Sister take her vows. We have maintained our relationship for over 40 years, but even with the miles we have remained close. Rest in peace and Connie and family are in our prayers. Love Bart and Kathleen

Our dear Sister Mary Lou bought so much energy and joy to Emmaus Parish. I can remember when I first heard that we were having a Sister serve as the Director Children's Faith Formation how excited I was. And Sister Mary Lou did not disappoint. Not only did she deepen my faith and the children's relationship with Jesus through her teaching, she brought a personal touch. She made everyone feel welcome since she truly wanted to know each of us. May she be comforted in our Savior's loving arms. My deepest sympathy to the Barba family.
