Mary Lucile Born

Our family were neighbors of Mary Lou for many years. Our son called her his "city gramma". We loved her and enjoyed her stories. She was a great story teller and a beautiful person. Be at peace sweet lady. You were so loved.

I was also one of the kids that hung out at their house. Mrs Born was so welcoming and accepting and always had a twinkle in her eye.

Mrs Born was such a friendly and welcoming woman. Such a great mother. I know she will be so greatly missed

What I remember most? The smile and the music . . . innovative lyrics and notes. Copies of at least one of their pieces is stashed in our Bethany choir archives . . . somewhere. And the story of how Mary Lou and Louis met. Warm, wonderful memories.

What a wonderful legacy. We give thanks for this wonderful woman and all the ways she served humanity bringing light to the world. God hold you all close. Pastor Joyce M. Emery

What a lovely tribute to a beautiful lady and her life very well-lived! So many diverse experiences, so much passion and talent! I was one of those neighborhood kids who was in their home for endless days/nights. Always felt welcomed and appreciated by both Mary Lou and Louis.
