Not sure what to say?

Sweet rest Mrs Burnette, I'm taking very good care of your home

One of her sons, Marlon and I were classmates at Brooks Elementary, Max Bruner Jr. Jr. High, Fort Walton Beach High , and friends on Facebook. I knew her husband and her other two sons. She was always nice when I would visit their home.

Mrs. Burnette was amazing and extraordinary as a teacher, accepting only the best from her students. Mediocre was not in her vocabulary and she never had a problem with visiting students at home. Discipline and structure were required daily. Rest in Peace and Power.

Remembering a very special woman,

I remember going to her house on Burnett St. with my grandma. She would tell me stories about my dad when he was a little boy.It was because of her that I got to reconnect with one of my aunts and uncle on my dad side that still lived in Defuniak.

Remembering my favorite Elementary teacher/friend.

To the Family of Ms Mary E. Burnette

Most of the time, she knew more about...

Mrs Burnette is one our the Scaife and Pierson Mentor too. I want to thank the family for sharing her with us. You are in our prayers.God bless you all.Queen Scaife Carter, Mary Scaife Evan, Charlie Scaife, Edward Pierson, Purlie Mae Pierson Anderson & Cora Scaife Jacobs.

She sounds like someone I would have wanted to meet. The world has lost a great trailblazer.
Your family will be in my prayers.
