She graduated from Holy Angels Academy (a college preparatory high school) in Buffalo in 1953. She was the youngest student in that graduating class. She was a much beloved friend in a group of Holy Angels graduates, who called themselves "the Latrones" which means thieves or robbers in Latin because one of the teachers said if they didn't do well in their classes, they were essentially robbing from their own parents who paid high tuition for them to attend such a good school. Our condolences to the Culliton and Kirschgraber families. Mary Lou was the best! She was an inspiration and source of wisdom as we raised our family. We delighted in sending the kids over for some fresh baked cookies! Not only a top notch baker, Mary Lou was a gardener and always helpful in helping me become one.
