Thinking of Aunty today as tomorrow is her birthday. The lilacs are blooming in the arboretum in celebration of a life well lived. Auntie Mary was smart, funny, and knew everything'. She had fabulous penmanship - I loved getting cards or letters from her, not only because of what she wrote but because they were written with that beautiful hand. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be loved by Aunty Mary. You have to live it. I was blessed to live it everyday of my life. Unconditional ever present love and laughter. I learned intelligence in the truest sense of the word. Thank you Jimmy, for sharing your Mother with me. We will hear her in the waves at Marshfield and every time we make the pie I love you.
