Mary Anna Diegert

I remember Mary well from my early years at Broome Community College, where our offices were in the same suite in Titchener. I admired Mary for her pioneering achievements as a woman engineer and as chair of the Computer Science Department. She was a great asset to the college. But, most of all, I remember her friendliness, cheerfulness and outside interests, especially music. Thank you Mary Ann Diegert for your contribution to education! First woman in Electrical Engineering at Cornell University is amazing! I attended "Broome Tech" now called SUNY Broome and was in the Computer Studies program. Thank you so much for founding that department! To your family, prayers for all of you as you have lost someone so special. May all those beautiful memories flood your minds each and every day!
