I was sad to read of Mary's passing in the Carolina Alumni Review and IMMEDIATELY pictured her beautiful self and heard her voice and laugh! I SO remember her, along with Libby and Malia at UNC. I was moved to tears reading these memories posted, and can see she only grew her circle of friends and people she touched. I am so glad her legacy lives on in Sarah and the grands, and in all of our memories. "We grieve but not as those who have no hope..."--I will see you in Heaven, Mary Dula!!

Mary was in the top of the most beautiful people in my life. We were both tar heels and she could sing any song, laugh with that infectious smile. I love you. RIP.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Mary's death. She was the sweetest , kindest, classiest ladies I have met. I met her by chance at the Bluewater last summer during one of those great Sunday summer happy hours. We went on a date 2 weeks later and had a wonderful evening. If it wasn't for the fact that I lived in Raleigh and she in Wilmington, I'm sure we would have seen more of each other.I regret not contacting her again after last July. Your family has truly lost an angel.

Mary was a beautiful and strong woman. I enjoyed getting to know her during our training in Stephen Ministry and seeing her at the YMCA. She had such strength and positive energy. She is missed.

Sarah, LJ, and Fred, Mary Adeline meant so much to me. You could see love in her eyes, joy in her laughter and warmth in her smile. I will always cherish our 50 year friendship that we had.
