1923 - 2016

Mary Ann Grimes, of Pensacola, died Saturday, June 11, 2016. She had been a resident here since 1957, coming from Stewartville, Alabama. She worked at Monsanto and was a member of Olive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by son, John Palmer Grimes.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Grimes Lewis and her husband John; her son, Billy Alexander and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Lynn Alexander, Kathy White (Matt), Debbie Alexander, Michael Alexander (Lisa), Mark Alexander (Carmen), Connie Grimes, Gary Taylor, Larry Taylor and Scott Taylor (Cindy); and 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grand children.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Grimes' grandsons, Gary Taylor, Larry Taylor, Scott Taylor, Michael Alexander, Mark Alexander, and Robert Williams will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

CURTIS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1315 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama is in charge of arrangements.
