Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry to learn of Mary's passing. She was an amazing woman! When I worked at ESC, she was still climbing the stairs twice a day, every day, at 101. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. I remember when she turned 100, she stopped at my desk to share she'd gotten a birthday card from the White House, she was quite impressed with that! We often had lunch together and discussed a wide range of topics. My thoughts are with her family, may you find comfort...

I've known Mary since 1994; we'd become very close friends over the years. We carpooled, dined, prayed, rejoiced, & wept together as friends. She loved everybody which was evident in her conversation. She'd become a dear friend to my entire family. Because of her passionate loyalty, dedication, & consistent diligence, she became known as "The Grand Matriarch at Empire State College". Willis, our adult children, grandchildren & I are blessed to have known Mrs. Mary Jordan & will forever...

I am very sorry to hear about Mary's passing and unfortunately did not hear about it until after her services. Mary worked with me at Two Union Avenue. and I always enjoyed seeing her come in the morning after her daughter dropped her off, or when I would stop by the Admissions Office to say hello or while she had lunch in the first-floor lunchroom. I'll never forget that she always referred to me as "Mr. Paul" and she always had something nice to say. She was truly a wonderful person.

Mary was a wonderful colleague at Empire State College who we both enjoyed working with. She was cheerful, energetic, and always helpful to students and fellow staff members. Her work ethic and her ability to connect with a wide range of people are among her many legacies. We feel lucky to have known her.

Mary was always so kind to everyone. She always had a smile and a story to tell. I worked with Mary for a number of years in the Admissions Office and she loved her job and being around her co-workers. She would always take the time to ask you how you were doing and if needed she would include you in her prayers. She was a remarkable lady and will be missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Mary was the best! There was no one quite like Mary. She would tell the best stories about her life. She walked with us at lunch time up into her early 90's, we would then enjoy her company for lunch. I gave her rides home from work for a couple of years and sometimes would get so intrigued in conversation, would almost drive by her house. What a sweet, sweet lady. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mary's family. May she rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. I remember having so many great conversations with Mary. I would see her walking from work or out and about and always stopped to chat with her. Mary was my dad's 1st cousin and would always tell me stories of the old days with her brother Al and my dad. Mary's work ethic was second to none as evidenced by working until 101.... Great lady and will be missed... My thoughts and prayers to Mary and her entire family.

My sincere condolences to the family. Mary was a pleasure to work with. I would often call the Admissions office and loved to hear her pleasant voice. She was always willing to help. Mary would light up a room with her amazing smile. She loved the Yankees. I am from the Bronx and we would often talk about the baseball game. I was visiting my brother in Atlanta this week and we were talking about the Yankees and I mentioned Mary and our conversations. I was so sadden to hear of her...

Mary was always so kind and upbeat when we saw each other in the halls of Empire State College. She inspired me, and her "can do attitude" was infectious. She has been missed since she left the college - but her memory will be with me always—my sympathies to the family and all those who were held special in her heart.
