Please accept my deepest sympathy to John and Claire. I recall hearing about you both as you were growing up while your mother was a doctoral graduate student in Secondary Education at the University of Illinois. Mary Jane was one of my favorite graduate students.

I knew Mary Jane as Sheila's glamorous and wiser older sister when we grew up together in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
