Mary Martin Obituary

Mary S. Martin EPHRATA Mary S. Martin, 86, formally of Annville, died July 6, 2015, at the home of Luke and Betty Shirk, Quarryville. She was the wife of the late H. John Martin who passed away in 2010. She was born in Ephrata Twp. on June 18, 1929, daughter of the late Amos R. and Amanda Shaub Wenger and stepmother Lydia Good Wenger. She was a member of Mt. View Mennonite Church, Lebanon. She is survived by her two sons, Stanley Martin and wife Lorraine, Lititz, Edwin Martin, Annville; eight daughters, Erma wife of Marvin Martin, Clyde, N.Y., Erla widow of Edward Snyder, Manheim, Nancy wife of John Henry Frey, Annville, Betty wife of Luke Shirk, Quarryville, Arlene widow of Ivan Martin, Little Cedar, Iowa, Nora wife of Rufus Nolt, Ephrata, Elva wife of Ivan Ray Weaver, Osage, Iowa, Fern wife of Abraham Hurst, Riceville, Iowa. Also surviving are 59 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Stauffer of Richland. Preceding her in death were three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Frank Wenger, Arthur Wenger; two sisters, Anna Martin, Esther Wenger; two sons-in-law, Edward Snyder and Ivan Martin. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, July 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fairview Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Mountain View Mennonite Church, 196 Butler Road, Lebanon. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
