Virginia Beach. I was neawly married and did not know a sould in Virginia except my husband and his parents. Mary and Chuck lived across the street from us and we became friends. Even after the military moved them to different location that friendship lingered in my heart. Mary's smile could light up a room and cheer me up when I missed my family and friends. We had too many good memories to list,we joined a bowling league, which was a riot. We were both new at bowling, but we had a ball,a lot of gutter balls, but nontheless it was fun, I did not get to see her often the last several years, but she never left my mind or my heart. Those places she will remain forever. RIP my dear friend.

Mrs. Norris was my drama teacher in high school and I adored her.
I have so many happy memories of her and all the amazing plays and musicals we did. She made my high schools years special and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
God Bless her and her family.

Community theater brought Mary into our lives, many years ago. We enjoyed her talents, creativity, and friendship. Many good times. She had a way of bringing out the best of us onstage. Our deepest condolences to you, Chuck, and your family. She will be missed. Rest In Peace, Mary.

Mrs. Norris inspired me to be brave and take chances. Though this was initially a stage direction/lesson, I have kept that idea throughout my life. She was truly loved and will be missed

Chuck, thinking of you. So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Norris, you are missed by so many. I remember working behind the scenes, on the tech side, and thinking about maybe getting on the stage like Lisa...if she can do it, then I certainly can (Easier said than done). I cannot remember which show or part I was lucky enough to get, but I remember at the end of the first meeting after casting, you assigned a 1-2-page character analysis, and I thought to myself, whoathis is serious, not just fun and games. You brought young people together, molded them, made them better, and created amazing productions. I use to love the way you would say West Side Story for some reason I have thought of that hundreds of times over the years. Thinking of you with warmth and love.

Aunt Mary, you were so much a loving and caring person, and were such a positive influence and encouragement to so many people in your life. So much fun to be with and share stories and memories with. Above all that though, a big thank you for being an extra mother figure for me, after my own mother and then father passed away early, and another grandma figure to my daughter Elise. We will all miss you so very, very much. All our love Stuart, Sarah and Elise MacKay.

My sincere condolences to the entire Norris family. I met Mary and Chuck Sr when our children joined in marriage. For two decades we shared holidays and family events together. I was always impressed with Marys quick wit and out going personality. Mary was a great historian recounting events of her early life in England. The truth Is well noted in her obituary She loved her grandchildren and great grands whole heartily. As an in-law I am thankful for having had her in my life.

Mary, you had so much to do with who I am today. From elementary school through high school and college you were one of a few people who pushed me to be the best I can be. Whether on stage, back stage or in the audience, you were there for me. You are missed. I love you.

Mary and I met doing theatre in southeastern CT and established Chelsea Players together in the early 1980s. She was a talented actress and vocalist who had the ultimate gifts...stage presence and how to sell a song. Sending love to the family.

You will be a beautiful angel in heaven just as you were in life. You gave so many people the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones. You taught so many of us the art of stage. I remember when making costumes for Anything Goes" I was being very fussy with hems, etc. You told me, "No ones going to see that beyond the second row!" Our family will never forget you. R.I.P.

I am so sorry to hear of your wife/mothers passing. I remember when Princess Diana and Prince Charles got married. She was so excited. She made us all sit down and watch the wedding from beginning to end. I am sure we were all tolerating her insistence that we watch with her but looking back now I can understand her excitement in sharing a historic event with us. She was so proud of her home country. May she rest in peace.
