Hugs to you.

My goodness. This is one of the times that I absolutely HATE living this far away....and so, belatedly, finding this out, I am now sending a message.

Here goes:

Mary Spanarkel (mother of my high school "touchstone", and good friend, Marybeth Spanarkel) was a grounding force, and a loving presence for so many of us in high school. We relied on her to scold us (occasionally) and love...

Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Mary and my mom Hilda became best of friends this summer at Meridian in Wall. They were inseparable. We shared so many jersey City stories and talked and talked. She beamed with pride when we talked about about family and friends. They stayed in touch after Jim brought her home. We will miss her. May the passage of time ease your sorrow and surround you with comforting memories. Harry Lerner and Mom Hilda
