Mary Ann Stephany

Mary Ann Keith Stephany passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the age of 63. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life. She was the cherished wife of 43 years to Atwood John Stephany Jr. Loving mother of Jennifer Stephany Perez. Proud grandmother of Brandon Stephany and Valerie Perez. Sister of Lawrence John Keith Jr. (Toni), Melanie Keith Lott (Lavern) and Marie Louise Keith Audler (Chester). Sister-in-law of Brenda Stephany and Colette Stephany Scardino. Daughter of the late Lawrence and Bernice Zoerner Keith. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Mary Ann was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where she enjoyed a long career helping others as a nurse and an employee of St. Margaret's Daughters Nursing Home. She was a former member of the Dixie Chain and Swing & Turn Square Dancing Clubs and an honorary grandmother of the Ponchatoula high school football team, class of 2016. She was well loved by us all and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Relatives, friends, employees of both St. Margaret's Daughters and University Hospital of New Orleans are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Sunday, March 13th from 6:00PM - 9:00PM and again on Monday morning from 9:00AM - 11:30AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady or Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
