My dearest friend for the past three decades, I admired Mary Kay for her kindness, brilliance, and thoughtfulness She gave me books just because she knew I would like them and she was always right. She was an impressive leader and driven person - how else would someone become the CIO of the 3rd largest college in Washington behind UW and WASU. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. You were a wonderful mother to her, Mary Ellen, and raised an extraordinary daughter. Brett, you are the type of caring, loving, talented, supportive husband that women can only dream of finding someone like you. You did a great job over the treasured years you had together. She loved you beyond words. She left a permanent imprint on our hearts. I will miss her forever.

Mary Kay was my sister from another mother. She was the greatest best friend anyone could ask for. I cherish the time we had and the incredible memories. Brett has been my dear friend for an even longer time and I am fortunate to have gotten to know her family as well. I am here for all of you.

Beautiful inside and out

Mary Kay was a spunky, spitfire of a girl who loved fun and adventure. She was the cute baby of our family and we all loved watching her shine. Her affectionate nickname "kiddo" lasted through the years. I am so sad we have lost our kiddo. I can't bear the thought of our family events without her. Love you sis !
