Mary Ellen was "one of a kind". She was a classmate of mine at the San Diego College for Women now USD. A warm and caring individual and a great role model especially as a teacher. She and her husband were the moderators for our Cana Conference in 1970. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

MaryEllen was a rare soul and an remarkably kind woman. She was a huge part of my life at William and Mary and a true role model for all people, not just those affiliated with CCM. She was welcoming to everyone and treated everyone with the same kindness and love. She was also unafraid to stand up for those most marginalized, which helped give me courage that I needed to be who I am today. Katie and family - I am so sorry for you loss. I wish there were more MaryEllens in this world. She was such a gem, and the world is not the same without her.
