Dear Tricia and Joe,
I just learned of Matt's passing and want to extend my deepest condolences. I worked with Matt for 13 years at OSU and looked forward to his good humor and bright smile every day. We had some great talks about art and I will always remember his vibrant crayon drawings. He was one of the truly good guys.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Herban's passing. I too studied with him at Mary Washington - Class of 1974. I was also fortunate enough to tour Europe with you December 1972. It was an incredible trip - I have never forgotten it or you, Mrs. Herban, and of course Dr. Herban, the wonders of the cathedrals in France and Germany brought to life!!! Tricia, so send our deepest sympathy. Mat was a wonderful man who was so talented in so many ways but never let that dampen his humor! I loved working with him in the ICA of Annapolis.
