Not sure what to say?

I'm just reading this and so sorry to see. My belated condolences to his family. Andy was always kind at heart and kept active. He and Kate got me started in running. A consoling thought is that he and Matthew are reunited. They'll have a lot of catching up to do. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I sent, on a whim, about a year ago, an email to Mr. Baxter wanting to recount my days working at the Dreyfus Corporation and thanking him for his advice and opinions regarding my budding career in the financial field. I assumed a gatekeeper would intercept my email and perhaps Mr. Baxter would never see it. It was incredulous and an honor to actually receive an email back from Mr. Baxter himself. I had written this email as a "thank you" and to show appreciation and recognition for his...

We were so sorry to hear about Andy´s passing. He was one of favorites of all time. Deepdale was a better place when he was here. We loved him so much and will miss him. Eliza- we are sending you our heartfelt condolences.

I just learned of Andy´s passing and am heartbroken. Andy was my pal, my mentor, my inspiration for almost 50 years. He was the guy you looked up to in every regard. He was fun, he was competitive, and most importantly he cared. He was the guy you always wanted to hang out with. I am blessed to have known him and to have called him "friend". Steve Vermut

I have been traveling abroad where the news of Andy's passing was slow to reach me. I was lucky to have met Andy in Yosemite at Matt's memorial. We became fast friends on the Yosemite Institute Board where we discovered our mutual love of fishing. We fished together in Yosemite, Idaho, the Bahamas and New Zealand. I have tons of great memories of fishing along side one of the most generous hearted guys I have ever known. I will miss him dearly.

Andy was a friend and mentor to me at his days at Dreyfus and Instinet. Sadly as our paths separated at the end of the 90's i have searched endlessly to reconnect. Moments ago through my desperate search i came upon this sad news. In one's lifetime you are blessed if you meet a person with such unconditional devotion as Andy. I was so blessed. Some 20 plus years later and Andy's love is still so current in my heart i feel like it was only yesterday i got tickets to an Islander hockey game,...

We have had the privilege of being part of Andy's life, he was a true gentleman, larger than life, with a big heart and he will stay in our hearts with us forever. We have so many wonderful memories of times shared, laughter and adventures had and we promise you Andy we will always look after Anne!

Dear Eliza, Anne, Matthew and Huck...We knew Andy as a board member at NatureBridge, when we were both staff in Yosemite. I (Alex) was the fortunate recipient of a Matt Baxter Fellowship award in the early 2000's that sent me to Zambia to learn hands-on citizen science in the incredible Kafue National Park for three months. Zambia is also where I met Adam, my incredible partner of nearly twenty years, now. The Baxter family was a catalyst in making possible one of the most important...

My deep gratitude and admiration for this noble man. He took the pain of loosing Matt and turned it into a generous and transformative well of goodness for so many of us. Of course this wonderful human did this, and so much more. Light on the path for Andy! Much love from Adonia and my life changing Mongolian Pony Riding Baxter Award journey.
