Matthew Black Obituary
Surprise - Matthew Scott Black, born on February 23, 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona, to Michelle Black and Tim Black, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age 35 on August 1, 2018 in Surprise, Arizona. He graduated from Moon Valley High School in 2001. He was in the Power Sports industry as a Sales Manager at Ride Now Power Sports. Matthew is survived by his brothers, Tim Jr. and Brian; and stepsister, Mallory. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Chelsea Laux and her son Brentley. Matt enjoyed watching professional sports, and is a fan of the Raiders, AZ Cardinals and the Lakers. He was a friend to everyone he met, literally giving them the shirt off his back.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service, officiated by Pastor Bob Fesmire, on Tuesday, August 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Christ Church of the Valley, 7007 West Happy Valley Road, Peoria, Arizona, 85383. The funeral home will be Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, 602-971-7350.

We haven't seen Matt in many years, but we remember him as a fun-loving friend of our son's at Ss Simon and Jude. We are so very sorry, and send condolences to his family. We can only imagine the devastation.
