Matthew Cappelletti Sr.

I bartended with Matty at the Pourhouse. He was unbelievable. A true legend in his own time. He didn't take any crap anyone, even if they were twice his size. He went to bat for his regulars too. One time the prices went up 25 or 50 cents and he asked the management to keep the prices the same on a specific product for certain people. Even years later there was still a "Matty Special" button on the computer. In one of my favorite conversations we had I tried to explain the Internet to him...

I didn't know Matthew well, but sat a few pews behind him in church on Sunday mornings. I always enjoyed talking to Matt after the service. He was a good man, and always jovial and friendly. I wish I'd gotten to know him better.

To the Cappelletti Family: I am saddened to learn of your Dad's passing....I'll always remember with great fondness his kindness . generosity, and that unique and wonderful sense of humor that gave all of us a lift when we were around him ..I send my deepest sympathy ......Bernie Verbit
