To the Collins family: I am so sorry for your loss. If it wasn't for Mr. Collins I wouldn't be here today. He saved my life during Math class. He was a fantastic teacher.

To all of Matt's family our deepest sympathy. We were privilege to know Matt as a friend, classmate and role model. I attended PHS and Umass with Matt and I will always remember Matt for his smile and laugh even in the darkest hour. He was undeaftable. He is not gone he is just playing for God's team in Heaven. Go Matt. Help me get there also. Dr. Gerry Powers PHs 58 Umass 62

To Matt's family my sincere condolences. I was a fellow member of PHS class of 58. I remember Matt for his leadership and his toughness - the latter on the hockey rink. Our junior year he took a puck in the mouth in successive games - the second one after the first one had been repaired... he just shrugged it off and went back in the game...! Good memories.

To the Collins family: I am so sorry for your loss. Matt was a great teacher and an inspiration to his students. I have wonderful memories of the time I spent with all of you.

My condolences go out to the Collins'. Matt was a wonderful teacher and a great inspiration to his students. I cherish the memories I have of time spent with the Collins family babysitting, vacationing and hanging out in Lanesboro.
