To all of Matt's family our deepest sympathy. We were privilege to know Matt as a friend, classmate and role model. I attended PHS and Umass with Matt and I will always remember Matt for his smile and laugh even in the darkest hour. He was undeaftable. He is not gone he is just playing for God's team in Heaven. Go Matt. Help me get there also. Dr. Gerry Powers PHs 58 Umass 62

To Matt's family my sincere condolences. I was a fellow member of PHS class of 58. I remember Matt for his leadership and his toughness - the latter on the hockey rink. Our junior year he took a puck in the mouth in successive games - the second one after the first one had been repaired... he just shrugged it off and went back in the game...! Good memories.

I'm saddened by Mattie's death. I worked with him at General Systems in Piffsfield from 1982 until he left, and we kept in touch through his odyssey to NC, out to California and back to NC. I enjoyed knowing him, considered him a good friend and will miss him,
My deepest condolences and best wishes to his family in their time of sorrow.
