Not sure what to say?

I think of Matthew often, and miss him terribly. His infectious laugh and brilliant spirit brought joy to all who knew him, and I was lucky to call him my friend ❤.

Deepest love to you my friend, and much love, thoughts & prayers to the family. You are at peace in heaven now grilling your burgers with the Big Guy, but you will always remain with each of us in our hearts.

I was blessed to have a deep friendship with Matthew, which began at the Florida School of Addiction Studies so many years ago. His passion and profound commitment to his work were palpable, and brought out the best in everyone he touched. His face would always light up and his striking blue eyes would shine when he spoke (often!) of his beloved Debby, and their gorgeous daughters and granddaughter. My recovery (03.15.91) is richer for having shared so much with this extraordinary man. May...

Matthew, I always thought I could just touch base "later", now that later will never come.
You made a significant positive difference in my life. You made a difference in a lot of lives. You will be greatly missed, I loved you.

I am very saddened by Matthew's death -- sincerest sympathy to all his loved ones.

Matt you are and always will be loved and missed deeply by those who's lives you touched. You are an inspiration and someone who lead by example. Someone who was never too busy to stop and say hello or ask if everything is ok. Although you are greatly missed God needed a perfect angel so you are with him now. Love always, Sheila, Sean, Austin, Aliesha and Grandma Sheila

Matthew was a great friend of many years. Will deeply miss you. My prayers go out to his family who I know he loved so dearly.Gone far to soon.God speed buddy

Matt was an important friend and character in my life while we were growing up. As so often happens, we lost track of each other in our twenties. When we reconnected 10 years or more ago it we had missed so much of each other's lives but picked our friendship right back up. It was such a pleasure to re-establish a connection not only with him but also his beautiful family. I mourn your loss with you but take comfort in knowing he had in life what he most wanted with Debbie, Christina, Tabatha...

So very sorry for your lost.
These are times you ask WHY?
Why did this happen?
Why Him? Why me? Why us?
God's will makes things Happen.
God wanted Matthew by
his side. God needs you to be strong. God sents all of us to you at this time of need.
These might not be the right answer but know our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you and your family.
