Not sure what to say?

I learned of Matt's passing way too late, too late to say goodbye in a formal sense. I feel like I will be saying goodbye everyday, and on better days in the future, hopefully nothing but "thank yous" for the light, music, depth, and richness he brought to my life. I don't know how to cope. It is a struggle. The holidays aren't the holidays. I think the only consolation is something Matt said to me after we broke up: "A huge revelation this morning, Ali.... What a shock to hear of Matt's passing. He was beloved by his students, colleagues and friends. Rest in peace Matt.

I am very saddened to learn of Matt's passing. I so enjoyed his humor and compassion. He could work his magic with his students instilling an excitement for learning through his unconditional support to help them grow. His humor was contagious; his conversations thoughtful and authentic. He will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was shocked to hear about Matt's passing. What a spectacular, wonderful person and teacher. I was unable to visit during the wake but Matt, and you, his family, remain in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to learn of Matt's passing at such a young age. I knew Matt when he first arrived to student teach with Wil Lloyd who was my next door neighbor at Central. Matt was a natural and became a great and dedicated teacher. Rest in peace Matt.

Matt was a great teacher whose students were very fond of him. I was lucky enough to see him perform with the faculty band at Alvirne. He was a gifted musician. He will be missed by all, as he touched a lot of lives. May he rest in peace.

My daughter Emma had the pleasure of having Mr. Crosson as her English teacher. He was the main reason she decided to pursue a career in education. This year she was his teacher aid and she will miss seeing him every day. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, students and co-workers.
