Not sure what to say?

It´s your daughter, Emily. It´s been hard without you- thinking about how this will be my first Christmas and birthday without you, and my Spanish teacher even has the same birthday as you! I sometimes think that there must have been something that I could´ve done to keep you alive and safe, but I know that you going to whatever afterlife there may be where you can be healed is much better than suffering in the world. After you died, I got angry at you because I didn´t know why you had to...

Maddie and Emily love you so much and your dad always said everything I do is for my girls. He loved you both so much. Also much love Connie for the hope you kept in your heart and the love for your beautiful girls. One of the best memories was Poppy and your dad doing the slingshot at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City we laughed so hard. We are here for you all always

A big part of my childhood was spent exploring the beaches, lagoons, and woods with my big cousin, Matt. We rode big wheels, bikes, and boogie boards. We flew kites, climbed the lighthouse, and watched the fishing boats come in. We chased crabs under the docks, climbed trees, and jumped off of roofs. I will always be thankful for that time together with him, wandering and wondering through early childhood. Thanks for the adventures, Matt. You will be remembered.

May GOD draw near to Matt's family & comfort them.GOD bless, Jamie, Patricia Dunn & Family

Matt was a supportive colleague and friend when our paths crossed at the Court of Appeals and more recently at the LRB. Our kids are similar ages and we would chat about school and such. He will be missed. My condolences to Matt's family.

I remember while working at Critter Fleet in Ponce Inlet during our junior high years, stopping by Matt´s house just down the street from the lighthouse. and playing basketball with him and his brother Andy. We loved basketball and Air Jordan apparel. While attending Silver Sands Jr. High. we would play ball on the outdoor courts, then walk over to the indoor courts at the Port Orange gym and play until dark. RIP Matt. Our condolences to his family.
