As a kid Matt was friends with our son in Scouts, birthdays, sleepovers and youth group. He was a kind and gentle boy. We have enjoyed his culinary skill many times at Sadlers. We send our sincere condolences to the family. He will live on through is generous gifts of life.

The memories of Matt in Youth Group are many and then seeing him all grown up as he was working the kitchen at the Marlborough Tavern years ago was the nudge saying "They do grow up". Unfortunately I was never given the opportunity to get to know Matt but it I think it's important that I share with everyone how an important and inspiring role model he was for my son Aidan. Aidan had worked with Mat for the last 4 years at Sadlers and during this time was taken under Matt's gentle and caring guidance working in the kitchen. Aidan absolutely idolized Matt!
