Debbie, Phil I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

As I told his mother, Matt was an exceptional young man that I had the privilege of teaching years ago. He was not only exceptional in his academic work, but he had a sense of humor that made everyone smile -- teachers and students alike! I saw what he was like at 15 years old, and after reading many of the comments, I am proud to see what a fine young man he became. My prayers are with his family. He will live forever in the hearts of all he touched.

Sending condolences to Matt's family during this difficult time. I knew him many years ago through the Audiology world and always loved his dry sense of humor.

Matt was truly an interesting and special person. I had the privilege to be his first grade teacher at Barksdale Elementary. The sweet words in his obituary describe him even as a youngster. My prayers are with Debbie, Phil, Lindsay and the rest of the family. Memories of his spirit will live forever in our hearts.
