Not sure what to say?

Matt, we think of you a lot when we go to Lincoln. I remember meeting you when we were at Woodstock Station and then doing a hike the next day at Lincoln Woods. I remember you saying that you were "double nickels," meaning you were 55. Cory and I have been playing a lot of tennis at Deer Park and Village of Loon. We miss playing against you and Wendy. We have gotten so good, we would kick your butt now !! I hope you can see us play. Miss you. Anne McGreal

My deepest sympathies to Matty's Family. I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Matty during my teenage years at Holdridge Farm Nursery. God Bless

Matty was the Hugh Hefner of Ledyard in that his door was always open to his friends; he loved having us over for parties; bridal showers; swimming…he was a listener and an adviser. A good man has passed on….

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My condolences to Matty's family and friends. He was a thoughtful generous guy who I recall fondly from back in the 80's- always welcoming countless friends to his Ledyard home for long volleyball nights and other summer fun. Everyone liked him so very much, and he will be missed

We love you and will keep the wonderful memories in our hearts!

Matt, you will be missed for your generosity, kindness and friendship.
You gave great advice and your door was always open. Me and the boys will miss playing tennis with you. Thank you for always setting them up with mountain bikes and ski equipment. I will miss your personality and love of life.
Anne, Kyle and Cory

Our condolences and prayers from the Gliddens

Jack and I were so sorry to hear about Matty's passing. We will never forget the wonderful weekend spent at the condo in NH. Matty had a real knack for making everyone feel right at home. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
