Mattie Wright Bartlett

Mattie Wright Bartlett a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024.

Mattie was born on August 26, 1934 to parents Odell and Dovie Crouch in Bryan, Texas. She grew up in a close-knit community and was known for her kind heart and infectious laughter. Throughout her life she was a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.

Mattie worked as a registrar at Travis High School in Austin, where she earned the respect and admiration of all that knew her. However, it was her role as a mother and grandmother that truly defined her. Mattie's home was always filled with love, happiness and laughs.

Mattie is survived by her daughters, Donna Lancaster and husband, Terry; Sherron Willie and husband, Freddie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a great-great grandchild; and by her companion of 10 years, Wayne Lovett. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Wright, second husband, Bob Bartlett and daughter, Connie Wright and her grandson, Fredie Willie, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. IH35 in Pflugerville at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Lancaster, Brad Lancaster, Ethan Lancaster, Clem Mendez, Zane Allen and Bryan Allen with Michael Figuera as an honorary pallbearer.
