I miss Maude so very much. I think about her every day. I have so many pleasant memories - pasta night - Skip Bo games.

She was my very best friend.

My aunt Maude was such a special person to so many people for so many years that it's hard to imagine life will be the same without her somewhere. While I was visiting at Carolton, one of the nurses said, "Gee, Mrs. Swan, You must have done something right." It was a reference to all her visitors. I quickly chimed in that she took care of everyone all these years as the family's matriarch. When I said it Maude looked a little bewildered, tilted her head, grinned in that off center way, eye...

Dear Maude. I barely remember a time when I didn't know you. Thank you for all your many acts of kindness to me through the years. I always admired your zest for life, your optimism, and your constant good nature. St. Paul's won't be the same without you. My sincere sympathy to your extended family.

JIM AND NESSY, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS YOUR MOTHER WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED BY SO MANY FREINDS AND FAMILY. I KNOW I WILL NEVER FORGET HER.

I will remember Maude fondly as a caring, gentle and compassionate teacher. She was my teacher at Thomas Hooker School for 7th and 8th grades, 1956 - 1958. God bless her.

We will always deeply love and miss our "Grandmaude" but rejoice that she is enjoying the heavenly banquet described by Isaiah.
