Not sure what to say?

2023 Thinking again of Maura, and realizing that I have now reached and passed the age when she died - how the years fly past, but my memory of her warm welcome still remains vivid to me. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis. (May her sweet soul be at God's right hand)

Soon after coming from Ireland, Maura became a member of St. John's choir at my church. I met her there in the choir. Her smiling Irish eyes and lilt of Irish laughter endeared her to me immediately. My twin Al was also a member of the choir. He and Maura were dating soon. Our family was delighted when they announced their engagement. The memories are wonderful.

I met Mrs. Wait once when I was visiting Carolyn at their home in San Bruno. She was very nice to me, and I loved her Irish brogue. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Eithne, Sarah, and Ciara,
My deepest sympathies at the loss of a wonderful mom & grandmother. The world will miss her. I, too, remember her tea and her kind words.

The best secretary and best person I have every worked with. I will miss Maura dearly. Dan Stowell

My deepest sympathy at the loss of such a wonderful friend. She was always so welcoming and yes, there was always a cup of tea to share. Know my prayers and thoughts go out to all who knew this loving and dear woman.

I recall the first time I met Maura at her home in San Bruno. She was so warm and loving to all of us. Tea was a must and it was wonderful. I feel so honored to have know this warm loving woman who raised such an amazing family.

Yes I too remember Maura visiting us in Tallaght - and her making the trip from Cork to Dublin and back in one evening, to us an unheard of long journey without sleeping over.
But I best got to know Maura when I stayed with her several times while at TA conferences in San Francisco. I remember her saying how much she loved to have relatives to stay - I'm married to her first cousin Tony Cleary - and she certainly gave me the warmest of welcomes. May she have the happiest of eternities,...

I will always remember my Aunt Maura, from her Many visits "home" to Ireland, I was quite little the first visit but to this day many many years later I can still remember that first visit, I was then aged in or about 4 years which would set the date around 1957, and that and many visits which took place in the years that followed were always memorable. Her charm and quick wit, her way of getting's things done were the hallmark of her great personality and she had a my Grandmothers, (her...
