Not sure what to say?

To Mrs. Werner, Mike, Tim, Susie, Tom, John, and Chris,

I just wanted to offer my sympathy to all of you at this time. Your husband and father was a very good man who had a significant impact on a lot of people's lives. I am not sure he realized how far reaching his influence was on the people who he interacted with. There are so many stories of coach that I have heard that I would not even be able to count them all. I still have vivid memories of him pacing the floor before...

To the Werner family:
We were very saddened to learn of the death of Coach Werner. Mary (Margritz) and I would like to send our prayers and condolences to Betty, Tim, Susie, Tom & John. Thanks to Moe, Mary and I have a solid Catholic education to thank him for. God Bless.

My deepest sympathy to the Werner family. Coach was one of my great teachers about life as well as football. I think of him often while coaching high school football, especially when trying to teach young men the importance of pride, discipline, and respect. Thank you Coach,

Mike Gietl C88'

Suzi, Tom, John, Chris, and the entire Werner family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. God Bless, Tim Mo

COACH WERNER WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS. THANKS FOR THE TIME YOU SPENT WITH ME. THE THINGS I LEARNED FROM YOU WILL BE WITH ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
P.S. I'LL LET THE ANGELS KNOW TO GET THEIR RUNNING SHOES ON.

It gives me great sadness to hear of the passing of Coach Werner but it gives me great joy to know that he is in a better place. May God strengthen you in your time of need. Coach Werner, we love you and rest in peace, for your work here on earth is now complete.

Eddie, Susie and Family,
The boys and I send our love and hope you know that we are with you in prayers and thoughts. Just know that we are there and hope that everything will be okay even through this. Love Kathy and boys

When things get tough I often reflect on what it takes to be a "C H A M P I O N". Thanks Coach, for the many opportunities you afforded me while in High School and the indomitable spirit you helped make a part of my daily approach to life. My prayers are with you and your family.
