Not sure what to say?

Every so often you meet someone that leaves you with a lifetime impression/legacy. This would be Maxine Cavanaugh! Although our journey was only a short one, you will be remembered forever. I'm blessed that I had the opportunity to share time with you.

I extend my sympathy to David and the Cavanaugh family. At a very difficult time Maxine provided me with a vital lifeline to reality and stability. Her wisdom and empathy gave me hope and resolution. I shall always remember her and the difference she made in my life. She was a wonderful caring person.

It is with great sadness I write this. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a very special person...so kind, so caring and so wise. She will be missed by so many on so many levels. I have a heavy heart. I wish you the peace that all her memories bring you.

For Maxine's Family:
On behalf of the New York State Board for Psychology, please accept the condolences of our Members who remember Maxine as an intelligent, energetic, knowledgeable, welcoming, and active Member of our Board. She served with distinction in upholding the professional standards of the practice of psychology that she exemplified in her work. This comment from our former Vice Chairperson, Dr. June Chisholm, is typical of the remembrances of Maxine: "I am saddened to hear...

Maxine was a wonderful guiding light for me as a young person. Thank you so much for all the good advice and help during a very hard time. You have raised a wonderful family. Thinking of you and all your good work.

Maxine was a very special lady who had the ability to light up a room with her energy, compassion and overall zest for life.
