Ruth Clark Obituary

CLARK, Ruth P. 87, of Largo, passed away Aug. 27, 2010. She was born and raised in Geneseo, NY and moved to the area in 1973. She absolutely loved being a saleslady at Margie's Dress Shop in Sunshine Mall for over 25 years and a Bakery sample lady at Publix in Largo. More than anything, she loved her family. Ruth was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis "Bud" Clark exactly 22 years earlier on Aug. 27, 1988. She is survived by her children, Dona McBride of St. Petersburg, Belinda (Duane) Brown of Tampa and Tyler (Deborah) Clark of Largo; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Dixie (Art) Messinger of Rochester, NY; and a loving extended family including Barbara (Fred) Gearing; and more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Suncoast Hospice or Christ the King Lutheran Church. What an honor it was to of known your mother . She lived at the ALF where i work and I fell in love with her spirit and grace and her amazing smile . My family and I visited her after she moved to Woodside and often Id take a co-worker with me to see her although I knew she didn't remember us she would smile ,tell us how beautiful we were and how sweet it was of us to come visit her .I was there not to long ago to visit her and I was sadened to learn she had passed when I saw the paper but God has truly claimed another Angel in her . My husband and I only had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Ruth for a short time. We got to know her while we where staying at hospice with Bob's mom. She always brighten up our day with her most amazing smile. She took a piece of our heart we just loved her. I always would tell her she had a crush on my husband because as soon as she saw him she would light up the room with her smile. We really fell in love with your mom. Even after Bob's mom passed away we would stop by to see her she will be truly missed from our lives, we only wish we could of had more time to know her. But I thank god for blessing us with her smile and friendship. May all of you have peace in your hearts your mom was amazing. Bob and I will miss her so.

I truly loved Ruth as though she was my Mother, and care for her children also and I wish them well, and thank them for allowing us the honor of knowing Ruth as well as we do, she was a joy and will be truly missed, but she is with the angels now and watching over us. I feel very blessed to have known Ruth through her daughter Dona. Not only was she warm, friendly, and loving, she passed along all those wonderful traits to her children and grandchildren. God Blessed her in so many ways, may she rest in peace. My prayers go out to Dona, her girls, and the rest of the family.

This is Ruth's sister Betty Herzog's grandaughter Carly Herzog and I would like to say that Aunt Ruthie was always a happy and nice person to be around that always put a smile on my face and I am very thankful that she is a part of my life. I have much love for her and will always remember her especially because I still smile when I think of her. I can only hope that everyone else that knows her will smile as well. May she rest in peace.

She spent every day of her life making others happy, sharing her spirit, awesome soul, through her smile, her touch, her kind words for all.
