Not sure what to say?

To the family of Maye Crumm: I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was a very important person in my life as a young girl. She taught me confidence and helped to raise my self esteem. My memories at Crumm Castle are among the best memories of my adolescent years. I even have a painting of Crumm Castle in my home, and I will always think of her and her family when I look at it.

To Carl (Gebi), my sympathies to you especially, my friend. Please remember all the good...

Jennifer, Gebi and entire family;

Maye touched so many lives and we are better for having known her. My sister, Cindy, and I attended Belle Carter the 71-72 school year. Maye was nonjudgmental of any child that passed through her door and, only saw the potential of each child. She was ahead of her time-a true innovator. She was practicing "No Child Left Behind" long before the thought entered the political arena. She instilled in us that we could do or become whatever we wanted...

Carl, Just wanted to take a moment to tell you how sad we all are at the loss of Maye. She was a pilar of the community and always managed to keep me in line. Though she has not been in Wichita for a while, we will miss her legacy. Warm hugs going your way. T

Carl,(Gebi) I am so sorry for your loss. Your grandmother was a very special lady. I have many fun and happy memories from our school days. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I want to express my sympathy to Jennifer and her family. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a very special person and will be missed.

To Carl (Gebi) & all the family, My sympathies to you for the loss of Maye. Though it has been a long time, she had a lasting effect on my life and I appreciate her for that. I've thought of our youthful adventures there often as I passed by the castle when back in town. Carl, I'd enjoy catching up someday if you'd like. Best to you always, Ruth

Hi Gebe, It's Ruth's Mom. Ruth forwarded the obit for your Grandmother. Brought back many happy memories of an earlier time in Wichita. My sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time. Your Grandmother leaves a legacy your whole family can be proud. She was definitely one of the good people on this earth. Take care. Fondly, Patsy Hunter
