Mac was an amazing man who cared deeply for everyone regardless of station in life. He was so kind and thoughtful not only with me but my family and friends. I was so shocked when I found that Dr. Mac had passed away! I will always be grateful to him for helping me when others failed. I am a retired RN and he literally saved my life!! I was affiliated with a home health agency and we did IV antibiotics in the home. Dr. Mac used us to give intravenous antibiotics in the home, especially pediatric patients. I would have traveled to CA for his help; he is this good! He is kind, compassionate and an excellent surgeon! He would always pray for himself...

Just got the news. Deepest regrets. Wonderful times with Mac and my friend Richard Langer in Los Angeles. Mac told me as a fellow North Carolina rooted son...that Margarite Morriss from Albemarle was his relation...and my junior high librarian.

So sorry to hear about Dr. Moretz. I worked for him in Georgia. He was the best Dr. And person. Prayers for the family.
