We are so incredibly saddened having just heard the terrible news of Meghan's untimely passing. She was a wonderful, true friend to my son, Michael. We always enjoyed the times spent with Meghan; her smile, her gentle nature and the way she was able to put you at ease and let you know you really mattered to her. We are far better for having had Meghan in our lives and my heart is breaking for you and for all of us who love her.

Dear Debbie, Shawn and Shawnie, We have been out of town and heard of your tragic loss. Words cannot express our profound grief and sorrow in the loss of lovely Meghan. We remember her shyly knocking on the door and asking us to purchase Girl Scout cookies. How could we refuse! What a sweet little girl that grew up into such a sweet and lovely young woman. While I did not have the priviledge of knowing your daughter, I did have the priviledge of knowing you both many moons ago (high school). When I heard of your loss, I just had to relay my condolences to you both. I too have a 20 year old daughter and I thank my lucky stars that she is still with us. Debbie, Shawn and Shawnie, today's service was the most beautiful and touching I have ever witnessed. It is no wonder she was the beautiful, caring, loving young woman that she was, considering the family who raised her. I'm sure she never realized how many lives she touched, through her work with the Girl Scouts sending care packages to the troops overseas, her devotion to Race For Life, and many other selfless acts. She was truly a special little angel sent to you, if only for a short time.

Shawn and Mrs. Crane, your words at your daughter’s service today were incredibly touching. It was truly moving. Although I did not know Meghan just listening to her poetry and hearing the stories of her life gave me an incredible sense of loss and clearly she will be missed, not just by those who knew her but by those who never had a chance to meet her.
