Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Wilhelm, Melanie Jayne (nee Price), born July 8, 1959 and passed away, Monday, June 14, 2021.

Beloved wife for 36 years of Robert A. Wilhelm. Loving mother of Alexandria (Robert) Boedeker and Emma (William) Ammann. Adored Nana of Adelyn Horn, Ronin Boedeker and Nettie Boedeker. Dear sister of Louis L. Price, Annette (Jimmy) Salyer and Louann (Charles) Stone. Youngest daughter of the late LeRoy and Annette Price (nee McKoveck). Cherished aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Melanie loved putting her toes in the sand at any beach, as long as she had a good book in hand. Spending time in the pool on top of Big Joe was a close second. Lover of Bob Segar and country music, Melanie enjoyed spending Friday night happy hours outside on the deck listening to music with her husband. Bob and Melanie looked forward to their many travels by way of Melanie's meticulous planning for the perfect place to stay at the best price possible. They also loved rooting for the Fighting Illini whenever they could. The most supportive mother you would ever find, Melanie never missed a sporting event or activity of Allie or Emma's. This tradition continued with each of her three grandchildren. Always the life of the party, Melanie played BUNCO, participated in book club, and enjoyed socializing with the neighborhood crew.

Not sure what to say?

Melanie was so nice. She worked at the office with us from time to time. She was always willing to come in and help us whenever we were overwhelmed with a project. I appreciated her secretarial talent and her kindness. She will be missed. Sincerely, Teresa
