Not sure what to say?

I wish I'd known that you passed. I would have come to say goodbye. I told my kids about picking their feet up, going through a yellow light. Tell me again why we do that. I will miss you terribly. I love you, my friend.

I'm reading this today and I am so very saddened by this. I worked closely with Melina when she was at SDN and could always count on her to come to our school, cover our events, speak with our students. I often thought of her. My prayers are with Melina's family. Heaven has a beautiful Angel.

Melina was a wonderful, friendly person who will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for your loss! God bless you and your family.

Surely a light as bright as Melina will remain with us, in the twinkling of the night sky, in the warmth of the sun, in the glistening of a spring rain. Forever remembered and loved.

Saddened by the all-too-soon loss of Melina. A warm, gentle and encouraging spirit will be missed. Prayers and condolences to Jim, Dee, Steve and Barb.

Melina was funny, smart, engaging, ethical, caring; a remarkable person.
The library book sales won't be the same without her energy, thoughtfulness, and yukking it up.
I will miss her.

So sorry for your loss. May God watch over all of you during this difficult time.
Tim and Debbie Dipper

The news of Melina's death saddens me; I am so sorry for your loss of such a warm, intelligent, caring spirit. she always brightened my day when meeting her and having conversations about her life, her work, and her loves. May she remain in your hearts as a loving person, as she does in mine.

Melina did make a difference in her community and the Hudson Valley. She listened to her readership and improved the Southern Dutchess News. Prayers for her and the family. The Wappingers School district should have an internship program with the SDN.
