It takes a lot to bring me to tears, but here I am with tears streaming down my cheeks. I am shocked and brokenhearted to hear of Melissa’s death. I will miss her always! I met Melissa when I was 16 and she was 6. I was the wife of one of her parents’ friends and since I was still a minor, I was the babysitter and I loved spending time with Melissa and her sisters. She loved playing outside. She was the lead explorer, always ready to take us on a fun adventure in the backyard. I remember how...

My beautiful sister Melissa! I will never forget our crazy adventures! Climbing trees, reading a book under the bush in the front yard, the club house we made in the alley behind the house. The car road station you made when we were 9. And the scavenger hunt you designed for me to find my birthday present. The awful looking black cake we made for Dad (David Roberts) on his 40th birthday! We may not always have got along but you and Amanda were the only sisters I ever had! Thank you for my 3...

Melissa had the biggest heart for anyone that she met. Her love for her children was endless and everything she did was to provide for them. She would do anything to help someone in need and had a special spot in her heart for the homeless community. Even though we were only married for a short time, we shared some wonderful adventures and made countless memories. Melissa, you be very missed and will always have a place in our hearts. We all love you.
