Melvin was a great childhood friend. I remember when Melvin and I joined together to compete against my brother Charles and Ronald (Ronnie) Jackson in launching the first rocket on Noah St. Melvin and I, just like NASA, purchased a rocket through the mail and made it look like we built it from scratch. I'm sure there are no words to express what sorrow you must be going through. Just know that Melvin was a good friend to our office at LBJ. We will miss his presence in the halls and his handy work. May God give you peace and comfort at this very difficult time.
