There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.(Eccles. 3:1) We have lost a wonderful, caring spirit. Melvin was a special person who loved people, loved life and most importantly loved you. May God bless and keep you and your family.

Melvin was a great childhood friend. I remember when Melvin and I joined together to compete against my brother Charles and Ronald (Ronnie) Jackson in launching the first rocket on Noah St. Melvin and I, just like NASA, purchased a rocket through the mail and made it look like we built it from scratch. On the day of the launch, we had my brother and Ronnie witness the feat. As the countdown progressed to zero, my brother and Ronnie taunting in the background, Melvin and I accomplished the...

I'm sure there are no words to express what sorrow you must be going through. Just know that Melvin was a good friend to our office at LBJ. We will miss his presence in the halls and his handy work. May God give you peace and comfort at this very difficult time.
