Not sure what to say?

As the Owls football manager at SCSU, I had the privilege of knowing Melvin wells. He was a great player and leader on and off the field. Melvin was a loyal friend. He and Travis Tucker were like the dynamic duo. I remember when the team surprised me with a plane ticket to go to our game against CalPoly, Melvin and Travis drove me home in the infamous red Comaro to get stuff for the trip. Back then having a female working in such a position with a football team was unheard of....Melvin always...

Just thinking about you the other day my friend...I truly miss not having you around to talk with and discuss life in the way we did...your insight and commitment to others was(is) imesurabe to me and so many others. Love you buddy...see ya on rebound

Can't believe it has been a year my friend that you were taken from us...always felt you were invincible...Tanglewood ain't been the same. Not a day goes by I don't think of you...still expect see'n you out in the driveway doing a brake job or some other project...mostly for others. I especially miss our conversations and the insight you were so adapt at sharing. So big man...Your with God now and I am sure the conversations are way more interesting...always know I am grateful to have been...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
