When I think about my Papaw, the first thing that comes to mind is a passionate heart. He put his heart into all that he did. Everything was 110% or nothing at all. He had the heart of a champion with a determination and grit like no one I've ever seen. He strived to be a mentor, coach, and friend to many. Rebecca, Abigail, and I are very sorry to hear of Doug's passing. My favorite memories of Doug are from the times he, me, and my Dad would go fishing. Good times.
